The Future Of Healing in Texas

As Goes Texas, So Goes The Nation

Those words have never been truer than today when Texas serves as a critical policy leader and legislative model for other states and the federal government.

Following the passage of HB 1802 in 2021's 87th Legislative Session, Texas established itself as a key leader in shaping the future of psychedelic therapies in the United States. By prioritizing research and efficacy over politics and profit, Texas created a model for advancing our understanding of these powerful medicines and a roadmap to responsible access for critical populations like the Veteran community. More than a dozen states have followed Texas' lead, and now even the federal government is funding and supporting psychedelic research for the treatment of Veterans and active duty service members.

Building on Texas' leadership in supporting psychedelic therapies, Texans for Greater Mental Health is a grassroots organization dedicated to expanding awareness and understanding of psychedelic therapies and building support for their continued research and access.
