Our Initiatives
At Texans for Greater Mental Health (T4GMH), we are committed to advancing evidence-based psychedelic research and shaping policies that expand access to life-changing mental health treatments. Our key initiatives include advocating for groundbreaking legislation, securing funding for clinical research, and educating policymakers and the public on the potential of psychedelic-assisted therapies.
From leading the passage of Texas’ HB 1802 to supporting federal efforts that have secured over $90 million in research funding, we are at the forefront of a movement to transform mental health care for Veterans, first responders, and all those in need.
Collaborate with leaders in psychedelic research, mental health, and public policy to shape the next phase of science-driven, research-first psychedelic policy.
Actively organize events, webinars, and public engagement campaigns to connect the psychedelic research community, policymakers, and the public.
Through these initiatives, we foster meaningful relationships, increase awareness, and enhance understanding of psychedelic therapies and their potential benefits.
Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to drive policy reform, achieving groundbreaking legislative victories that set a precedent far beyond Texas.
In partnership with former Gov. Rick Perry and a coalition of experts, we are pioneering a first-of-its-kind public-private collaboration to advance FDA clinical trials of Ibogaine for Opioid Use Disorder and co-occurring conditions. Derived from a West African plant, Ibogaine is a non-classical psychedelic that has shown remarkable potential in treating substance dependence, offering new hope for those struggling with addiction.
