Garrett Coppedge
Deputy Executive Director
Garrett Coppedge serves as the Deputy Executive Director and General Counsel for Texans for Greater Mental Health (T4GMH).
Before his role at T4GMH, Garrett was the Associate General Counsel at the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association, where he honed his legal expertise in a dynamic industry.
His personal experiences with mental health challenges and the limitations of traditional treatments have fueled his passion for the innovative potential of psychedelic-assisted therapies. Committed to pushing forward a research-first, science-led approach to policy reform, Garrett is a strong advocate for the model established by Texas HB 1802 in 2021.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University and a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law. Originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Garrett now resides in Austin, Texas, where he continues to influence policy and advocate for transformative mental health solutions.
