Mary Olivar

Mary Olivar is a nonprofit leader and community builder with more than 30 years of experience advancing health, wellbeing, access, and public education.

As Co-Executive Director of Texans for Greater Mental Health, she is dedicated to expanding access to innovative mental health therapies through thoughtful policy, public awareness, and collaborative engagement.

Mary’s work is rooted in connection—bringing people into relationship with information, with one another, and with meaningful pathways for healing. Throughout her career, she has helped translate emerging ideas into clear, accessible understanding, from healthy food systems to evolving approaches to mental health care, often working across diverse partners to move ideas into action.

She lives in Austin, Texas, and is the mother of three grown children, bringing a deep personal commitment to community wellbeing and the future of mental health care.
